NastyGal Inspired Shoot | Raleigh, NC Senior Portrait Photographer

I haven't blogged in so long! With the turn of the new year and rebranding my business, I will definitely be blogging my sessions from now on. I love getting into detail about my sessions and telling the story that comes along with them.

You see her on my website a lot. Meet Olivia, my 2016 senior model. She is my muse, a true individual. From the entire population in our hometown, she is the only one who shares my creative mind. We bounce ideas off of each other and have the same vision for our shoots. We have created some beautiful images during her senior year of high school and have developed such a close bond. I could go on and on about her, but I'll finish it here. Olivia will do great things in the future, and she will definitely hold a special place in my heart after she graduates and follows her dreams. I'll be a proud momma bear cheering her on!

Olivia and I have wanted to do a NastyGal and Nylon Magazine inspired shoot for a while but haven't had the time or energy to put enough thought into it until now. We collaborated on the outfits and thought of the perfect locations to match. Fellow photographer, Jenin Zapanta, tagged along to shoot, and we had a blast. It definitely helps to bring along another creative mind to stir up some new ideas! Not to mention it adds on to the fun of it all.

Our first stop was downtown Wilson. We paired this location with a 70s "mom" outfit. This skirt definitely shows off Olivia's curves and looked great on camera!

Next up was a more urban styled outfit. We broke out Olivia's Dodgers jersey and her Timbs. She requested a few shots with her boyfriend, and they looked great together!

Next up, we head over to the tennis courts to shoot. These images are definitely my favorite from the collection! The sun flare, haze, setting, and outfit just completely tied it all together.

The sun was setting, and we reached our final destination of the day: the laundromat. I had some great ideas for this location, but it was so crowded and the owner approached us, so we had to cut it a little short. Overall, this was one of the most enjoyable sessions I've had to date! It was super fun having an additional photographer and friend to bounce ideas off of! I definitely love collabing with other photographers and will do more collabs this year!
