Gosh, I haven’t blogged in a serious minute. Let’s change that, shall we? ☺ I am so excited to finally share with you all my photographs from my first ever (and definitely not the last) New York Fashion Week Runway Show! For those of you who know me personally, you know I spent the most amazing summer in New York City interning for MOSCHINO of Aeffe, USA, a luxury Italian conglomerate. I worked as a wholesale intern and got to see the workings of a multi-million dollar couture brand.
During my time in New York, I was able to shoot for Alessandro Trincone, an Italian designer whose work speaks for itself. His ensembles are meant to transcend man and woman and really hone in on the person wearing the garment. Alessandro’s claim to fame comes from one of his dresses being worn by none other than Young Thug himself on the cover of his self-titled album, Jeffery. How awesome is that? I love to share that cool fact when I’m talking about Alessandro’s show!
This show was my first time ever attending New York Fashion Week, which made it extra special that I was able to photograph in the pit amongst established photographers that worked for Getty, Women’s Wear Daily, and Business of Fashion. I received so much insight from industry photographers and made some great connections. I was seriously on cloud nine the entire time!
With the right amount of optimism, determination, and guts, you can take your talents anywhere you wish. Success is a two part process; it takes thought and execution. Dream big, then make it happen. ☺
